Terms

Last updated 31 August 2026

Who we are

These terms govern your use of the Clipped website and platform, operated by Clipped (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa. By using the site or platform, you agree to these terms.

Acceptable use

You may not use the platform to submit fraudulent information, misrepresent view counts or engagement, impersonate another person or business, or attempt to interfere with the platform’s normal operation.

Account registration

To use the platform as a creator or a brand, you need to register an account. You are responsible for keeping the information on your account accurate and up to date, and for keeping your login credentials secure.

Suspension and closure

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, the creator agreement, the brand terms, or applicable law. Where possible, we will tell you why.

Intellectual property

The Clipped platform — its design, code, and branding — belongs to Clipped (Pty) Ltd. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you.

Content posted by creators

Video content posted by a creator remains theirs. Any rights a brand or Clipped has to use it are set out separately in the creator agreement, not in these general terms.

No warranty

The platform is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Clipped (Pty) Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of South Africa. Any dispute arising from them will first be raised directly with us at hello@clipped.co.za, with a view to resolving it informally before either party pursues any other remedy.

Other agreements

Creators are also bound by the creator agreement, and brands by the brand terms. Where these general terms conflict with either, the more specific agreement governs.
